Teh-Hu Cargocean Management Co., Ltd. (“TCM”) is a HK-based shipowner / manager of dry bulk vessels.  TCM was established in 1974 as a merger between Teh-Hu Steamship Co, Ltd and Cargocean Shipping Co, Ltd.  It began operations in Hong Kong with a fleet of 10 small bulk carriers and tween deckers ranging from 10,000 to 20,000 tons deadweight.  Its founders included Mr. Chung Kia LIU, Mr. Chi Kong LO and Mr. Tchung Year WU.

Over the next 10 years, TCM’s fleet had grown to 19 vessels by consistently renewing its fleet with Handysize, Panamax and Capesize newbuildings.  From 1988, the group shifted to focus on Capesize bulk carriers.  Today, the group has a fleet of seven Capesize vessels with an aggregate 1,279,000 tons deadweight.

Between 1974 and 2004, the Company was headed by Mr. Chung Kia Liu as chairman and Mr. Kenneth Lo as managing director.  Mr. Lo became the chairman since 2004 and grew TCM into one of the leading Capesize shipowner in Asia.  Mr. Lo was also a past Chairman of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association in 1986 to 1987.  The Company is now led by the third generations with Mr. Patrick Lo as CEO and Ms. Shrah Ng as COO.
